to whom it may concern...i first bought 7 express because i spoke with a gentleman that worked for you guys, and he said for what i needed it for,it was the best choice. well it turned out it had nothing i needed, and had to make another purchase to fusion..i purchased mix fusion from you guys about a month or two ago. when i started i had a long night of uploading files of music to library. when i would upload a random folder of music, the program would constantly crash. i even tried different folders of files..so its not just a single folder, some work and some wont, and when it said to upload report of the crash to mixmeister, even that didnt work, it told me to email report to a specific email, and it has been about 2 months and have yet to recieve a resolution to my problem,so hopefully if i post here, i can get this resolved through you guys..this is what it told me to email: C:\Program Files\MixMeister Fusion\DUMP-3304-1004-20150404-062159.dmp..i hope this helps you guys to figure it out. i cannot upload my folders/files without my program crashing..i like this software dont get me wrong, but after spending what i have already spent for software,i would think that i would get good customer service, and i have been ignored...please help with this situation. i have a great deal of music and i dont want to keep having to upload single file by file..thank you

Hi Michael,
I have the same problem. My workaround is to use the single file import, but select all of the files in a folder at the same time. The program will import all of them without having to select one at a time. Not sure why support hasn't chimed in with this workaround.
Hope this helps.

Hi Disco Larry,
I think it's a great idea to band together to report details about this issue. I have been communicating with one of the MixMeister support techs about it, and he says he is unable to duplicate the issue. I can duplicate it on two different machines in my own studio, so I am a bit skeptical. Please post your details (i.e., operating system, cpu + speed, available RAM, version of MM, and any specific crash logs (Event Manager > App Log in Windows) that can show which files are having the conflict. Also, it would be really great if your friends would be willing to do the same. I will forward all of the information to the tech support person. A lawsuit seems like a lot more work at the moment, but if we inundate the tech support folks with detailed data showing the magnitude of the problem then they won't likely be able to brush it off or ignore it.
What do you think about this approach? -

I DID ALL THAT AND THEY WONT EVEN RESPONE I WORK FOR GUITAR CENTER AND THIS IS A JOKE EVEN TALK WITH A REP HE CLIAM I WILL GET ON IT THAT WAS A MONTH AGO

I am having the same problem. I sent another email to my tech support contact and was told "I spoke to our specialist and we attempted this with multiples files and it worked on our end.", which is obviously a load of hooey since we can all get it to crash every time. It doesn't seem that they are interested in getting enough details to find out what really causes the problem, as any of our crash reports would clearly show the cause. In the meantime, I am glad that the workaround is available.

----have you seen that(Windows 10) is possible DRAG AND DROP (one track or multiple files) from everywhere ( itunes, desktop, music etc..) on the Right side Mixmeister?Ready for mix ;)

On Win7 here, but sounds like a good workaround.

I will have to try that

Hi Max,
Thank you for identifying that you are having the same problem. I've been told that a tech rep is monitoring this thread, but I have my doubts, so if you have a moment, would you please identify your OS, CPU Type, and amount of RAM? If the tech rep doesn't identify a pattern then I most certainly will do so and email the results to MM.
Best regards,

Mine keeps crashing have to use my old MM Fusion pls video

Try searching through your files and removing files MM wont recognoise such as MP4s and certain video types.

This is a known bug when attempting to import using the folder option. The workaround for now is to use the single file option as this option actually allows you to select multiple files at the same time.

I have never had this issue on my MacBook OSX Yosemite nor El Capitan 10.11.6 and I've been using 7.7 since Mountain Lion.
One thing is that I have usually only dragged the file I'm using for a given project, one track at a time, and even then, mostly AIFF a few MP3 or MP4 with an occasional WAV.
Also remember that once Libraries or tracks are added, like Serato, it will always use that file location every time the track is used, unless you select the option to copy all the files and MXM files to their own project folders. If a file is moved, MM will prompt for each file the MXM is going to use, but if the MXM project file is already open while moving, it will crash. -

Same problem here. Mac os Sierra - countless crashes. Why doesn't Mixmeister give some kind of answer? So disappointing and arrogant to leave loyal and paying customers hanging. Is there another software for mixing like Mixmeister to replace it?
-
I use Acid Pro 7 its similar to MM but, you have to do more work adjusting tempo and beat-matching etc. Acid Pro 7 definitely has never ever crashed on me and effects are way better than MM

Hey there ole Man.... After re-reading the details of a three or four others postings, I saw that others were using the "individual" song upload option, but instead of selecting just one song, select all of the songs in the fold and upload into the application.
As for the another application... from what I have experienced with MM... it is one of a kind... another app that might come close is the Mixed in Key "Flow"
Hope that helps... -

I Am running Mac OX 10.12.3 Sierra on my 15" MacPro Retina i7 32GB memory RAM and 2 terabytes on Hard drive... I have the same issue!!! Mixmeister 7.7.1crashes constantly when dragging & dropping files from iTunes. This issue started after I upgraded from Yosemite. PLEASE HELP!!!!
I downgraded from Mixmeister 7.7 to 7.6 and it has the same crashing issue!!!-
My advise to you is to ditch mixmeister and never give them another cent just like I did. Their software is an overpriced dodgy disfunctional piece of crap. So many people including myself Solent hundreds on it only to find it stops working after only months. Mixmeister offer no support. You basically May aswell flush your money down the bog. Get a real music programme that actually works such as ableton. It's a bit more expensive but worth it. That's what I uses now and won't look back. Mixmeister suck and I hope they go broke for ripping people off.

I have the same opinion, its crap of the worstest kind

I know it's not the answer, but I use the RAW mp3's or preferably AIFF's. Then convert them to iTunes AAC or Apple Lossless to be used in iTunes for Apple devices to use.
When I have to use iTunes files, I drag the AAC files directly out of iTunes into their own folder then worked from there, or directly out of the iTunes Music Folder into MM, which will both be MP4 format.
Admittedly, I'm on 10.12.4 Beta 6 and haven't done much in MixMeister lately. I've been using Serato DJ 1.96 and a NuMark Controller much more often.
FYI- I think you meant to say 16GB RAM. Apple hasn't made a 32GB Macbook yet, though I wish they would. -
-
I only use MP3 files. -Trying to work from iTunes Music Folder would be hard since there's no TAG Info. I use Platinum Notes & Mix In Key before adding tunes into iTunes. -I think this issue began after upgrading to Sierra from Yosemite. Even thought MM confirmed 7.7 version was Sierra compatible. Even Serato DJ 1.9.5 wasn't working nicely with my DDJ-SZ2. Haven't tried 1.9.6 yet
You're right, my Mac only has 16GB of memory. my bad
Thanks for the reply! -

Very Strange. MM worked fine for me throughout 10.11 El Cap and 10.12.1 Sierra, bot were clean installs. And I always thought iTunes coded converted files with the MetaData, kinda like Serato. Otherwise, all of the Beatport and Traxsource AIFF's I download all have the complete MetaData pre-coded, even the cover-art.
I haven't been using MM much because MM's EQ Level Cuttoff's weren't clean enough and FX fades just aren't at the level I have needed for my most recent AV projects, so I've been mostly using Serato DJ/NS7III and Ableton Live 9/Push 2.
1.96 adopts SZ2 compatibility specifically, so that should solve your issues there. -

Here is what I got to work for me. Open Mixmeister. Then open File Explorer and make it a smaller window. Go the directory that holds your music. Then select all the folders and files within your music directory. Then grap the files by clicking on them with the left mouse button and while holding the mouse button down drag the selected folders and files to the library pane of Mixmeister and release the mouse button. All the folders and files will import successfully.

My goodnes, SO MANY people with same issue!!! Nothing's been done by them. I've dropped MixMeister and using Virtual DJ because it was PRETTY embarrassing plus I'd to add file one at a time for it to not crash (for that gig, had no choice, and that suffered my event). So dissappointing. It's not some cheap software either and I had to pay full price even though I upgraded from MixMeister 7.3... Yet they don't provide any support
Ron Mooney, I've tried dragging and dropping from Explorer and that doesn't do anything. Mine doesn't even allow me to add files and when I say files, I only use MP3s

I too have the same problem with two computers..... both the workarounds have worked for me ..... but it would be nice if the program worked the way it was supposed too. Just sayin
